A naturally occurring copper(II)-binding tripeptide isolated from human plasma. It is a long-standing reference compound in cosmetic-science and dermatological research, widely used in fibroblast and collagen expression assays.

Storage

Store at -20 °C, protected from light. The characteristic blue colour indicates an intact copper complex.

Solubility

Readily soluble in water. Avoid chelating buffers such as EDTA.

Laboratory handling

Allow the sealed vial to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation onto the lyophilised material. Prepare stock solutions using appropriate aseptic technique in a suitable containment environment, and label all derived solutions with the compound, concentration, date and the research-use restriction.

Handle as you would any uncharacterised research chemical: laboratory coat, gloves and eye protection, no eating or drinking in the work area, and no handling outside a controlled laboratory environment.

Disposal

Dispose of unused material, solutions and contaminated consumables through your institution's chemical waste stream in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of research materials in general waste or to drain.

Certificate of Analysis

Each lot of GHK-Cu is released with a Certificate of Analysis recording the lot number, HPLC purity chromatogram, mass spectrometry identity confirmation, appearance, and the date of analysis. The CoA for the current lot is available on request before purchase — email research@genexishealth.uk quoting the product name.

Safety data

A Safety Data Sheet is available for every catalog item. Research peptides are generally supplied as lyophilised solids with limited published toxicological data; treat any compound without a full hazard profile as potentially harmful and assess it under your own institutional risk assessment process.

Requesting documentation

Email research@genexishealth.uk with the product name and, where you already hold stock, the lot number printed on the vial. We retain analytical records for five years from the date of release.
