Research Use Only Policy

1. Scope of this policy

This Research Use Only Policy applies to every product listed on this website, to every order placed with Genexis Health Ltd., and to any material we supply by any other route including custom synthesis and bulk enquiries. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside our Compliance & Prohibited Use Policy.

By accessing this website, by acknowledging the research-use statements presented to you, and by placing an order, you agree to be bound by this policy.

2. What "research use only" means

Our products are chemical reagents supplied for in-vitro laboratory research — that is, controlled experimental work carried out in a laboratory by trained personnel, outside a living human or animal body.

Typical legitimate applications include:

• Receptor binding, displacement and functional assays
• Cell culture experiments and mechanistic studies
• Analytical method development and validation
• Use as a reference standard in chromatography or mass spectrometry
• Stability, solubility and formulation research
• Peptide chemistry and structure–activity investigation

Research conducted in animals is not something we supply for, and is not covered by this policy. Where such work is lawful in your jurisdiction it requires its own licensing, ethical approval and a supplier operating under the appropriate regulatory framework. We are not that supplier.

3. What our products are not

Nothing sold by Genexis Health Ltd. is, or may be represented as, any of the following:

• A medicine, medicinal product, drug or prescription pharmaceutical
• A dietary supplement, nutraceutical, food, food ingredient or animal feed
• A cosmetic or personal care product
• A medical device or diagnostic product
• A compounding ingredient or active pharmaceutical ingredient for human use
• A veterinary product of any description

Our products have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the European Medicines Agency, or any equivalent authority, for safety or efficacy in humans or animals. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

Many of the compounds we supply have limited or no published toxicological data in humans. The consequences of administering them to a person are unknown and potentially serious. This is a significant part of why we will not supply for that purpose.

4. Who we supply

To purchase from us you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age;
• Be a qualified researcher, or an authorised representative of a research institution, laboratory, or commercial entity engaged in scientific research;
• Have access to an appropriate laboratory environment in which the material can be stored, handled and disposed of safely;
• Be able to receive the material lawfully at your delivery address, holding any licence, permit or institutional approval required in your jurisdiction.

We may contact you about an order before releasing it, and we may decline to supply where we are not satisfied that these criteria are met.

We do not knowingly supply to private individuals ordering for personal use, and we do not supply to any address where we have reason to believe the material will be diverted to human use.

5. Prohibited uses

You must not, under any circumstances:

• Administer, ingest, inject, inhale, apply topically, or otherwise introduce any product into a human being — including yourself;
• Administer any product to an animal;
• Supply, sell, gift or otherwise transfer any product to any person you know or reasonably suspect intends human or veterinary use;
• Relabel, repackage, dilute, compound or reformulate any product for human or veterinary use, or in a way that obscures its research-use status;
• Represent, market or advertise any product as a medicine, supplement, cosmetic or treatment, or make any claim of therapeutic benefit;
• Use any product in a manner that breaches any law, regulation, licensing requirement or institutional policy applicable to you.

Breach of these restrictions is a material breach of contract. It may also constitute a criminal offence in your jurisdiction.

6. How we enforce this

Research-use confirmation is not a single line buried in our terms. It is requested at four separate points:

1. On entry. Before the catalog can be viewed, you must confirm your age, your researcher status, your understanding that the materials are for in-vitro research, your undertaking not to administer them to any human or animal, and your acceptance of legal responsibility. This confirmation is requested again every 90 days.
2. When adding an item. Each product must be individually acknowledged as being purchased for in-vitro laboratory research before it can be added to an order.
3. In your order summary. A three-part declaration covering the order as a whole must be completed before checkout can be reached.
4. At checkout. A seven-part binding declaration must be confirmed in full before an order can be placed.

Every completed declaration is retained with the order record.

7. Your handling obligations

Once material leaves our custody, you are responsible for:

• Storage. Storing material under the conditions stated on the product page and Certificate of Analysis, secured against unauthorised access.
• Labelling. Ensuring that any solution or aliquot you prepare remains clearly labelled with the compound, concentration, date and the research-use restriction.
• Safety. Carrying out your own risk assessment, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and following your organisation's procedures for handling uncharacterised chemicals.
• Disposal. Disposing of surplus material, solutions and contaminated consumables through a compliant chemical waste stream. Do not dispose of research materials in general waste or to drain.
• Onward control. Ensuring nobody in your organisation or household can access the material for non-research purposes.

8. Refusal, cancellation and reporting

We may refuse, cancel, suspend or refund any order at our sole discretion, including where:

• The order or the correspondence around it is inconsistent with research use;
• Correspondence suggests intended personal, human or veterinary use;
• You ask us for dosing, administration, reconstitution-for-injection or protocol advice;
• Information we request about an order is not provided;
• The delivery destination or order pattern raises a compliance concern;
• Supply would breach any law, sanction or restriction applicable to us or to you.

We may permanently block accounts and addresses associated with a breach of this policy. Where we are required to do so by law, or where we consider there to be a serious risk to a person's safety, we may report information about an order to the relevant authorities.

If you become aware of anyone misrepresenting our products, or intending to use them outside this policy, please tell us at compliance@genexishealth.uk.

9. If you are seeking medical help

We understand that some visitors arrive here looking for treatment they cannot otherwise access. We cannot help with that, and attempting to self-treat with research chemicals is genuinely dangerous — purity, identity and dose cannot be assured for any use we have not validated, and the toxicology is frequently unknown.

Please speak to a licensed healthcare professional about your situation. If you are in crisis or have taken something and feel unwell, contact your local emergency services or poison control centre immediately.
